Laying the Foundation for Strategic Partnerships
An initial discussion on the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Ruhuna (UoR) and the Centre for Defence Research and Development (CDRD) under the Ministry of Defence was successfully conducted on 20th May 2025 at the China-Sri Lanka Joint Center for Education and Research (CSL CER), University of Ruhuna.
The session was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna and brought together faculty nominees and key administrative members from UoR, fostering a collaborative environment for inter-institutional engagement.
Representing the CDRD were the Deputy Director General, Chief Controller, and Research Officer, who actively participated in discussions on potential areas of cooperation.
This meeting served as a valuable platform for open dialogue, allowing each faculty to present their unique perspectives and contributions to be considered in shaping the proposed MoU.
