The University of Ruhuna, in collaboration with the China-Sri Lanka Joint Center for Education and Research (CSL CER), hosted the Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship Awarding Ceremony 2025 on 7th November 2025 at the New Senate Room, University of Ruhuna.
The event was graced by His Excellency Qi Zhenhong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Sri Lanka, along with Senior Professor P.A. Jayantha, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna; Senior Professor Disna Ratnasekera, Co-Director of CSL CER; and Professor Jinglong Yao, Deputy Director of CSL CER. The ceremony was attended by distinguished academics, staff members, and students.
The awarding ceremony recognized outstanding students and reaffirmed the strong educational and cultural partnership between Sri Lanka and China. The University of Ruhuna and CSL CER express their sincere appreciation to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and all collaborating partners for their continued commitment to promoting academic excellence, research collaboration, and mutual understanding between the two nations.
