Chinese Scholarship Offer Letter Awarding Ceremony Held at the University of Ruhuna
The China-Sri Lanka Joint Center for Education and Research (CSL CER), University of Ruhuna, in collaboration with the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology (SCSIO), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), successfully conducted the Scholarship Offer Letter Awarding Ceremony on 6 August 2026 at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, University of Ruhuna.
Through this collaborative initiative, a total of six students were awarded (2025/2026) scholarships to pursue postgraduate studies, comprising two PhD scholarships and four MSc scholarships.
The official scholarship offer letters were presented to the recipients by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, marking an important milestone in their academic and research careers. The ceremony brought together the scholarship recipients and representatives of the University, highlighting the continued commitment of CSL CER and its Chinese partner institutions to supporting postgraduate education and developing the next generation of researchers.
The scholarship programme further strengthens the longstanding academic and research collaboration between Sri Lanka and China and provides valuable opportunities for young researchers to pursue advanced studies, develop their expertise, and contribute to future scientific and technological development.
